    Home landline and Mobile phone

Not only have we had to to put up every dickhead you dont want to hear from calling you on the phone now the political Parties have joined the cue to annoy the **** out of us , AAHHHHGGGG .

Had the Mobile turned off at 0700 hrs and turned it on at 1500 and 5 missed call messages from a 08633**** number in Perth , going by the time on the message i dont think they were made from Perth ?? .

New rule unplug landline and leave mobile switched off untill i want to make a call , unless anyone knows of a way to stop these robo and nuisance calls i cant see any other way to solve the problem , surely there must be way in this day and age to solve this problem ,What price technology . End of rant time for a Tooheys .

I did a phone number check on one of these marketers and an address in a suburb of Perth came up. Using Google Earth, I did a Streetscape and it was an unit block. I don't understand why our telecommunications people can't do something with these dodgy numbers. I've had several 02 area numbers and, on enquiring, they don't exist.
Conspiracy theory : Telstra employs overseas people, a lot of these calls are overseas based with similar accents, Australian "Nonexistent" numbers are used by people with similar accents. Hmmmmm

Could be Clive Palmer begging for votes - as if.
Are you on the Don't Call register? Search it and register.
As elections get closer this will increase.
BTW I have apparently won the Nigerian Lotto. They just want my bank account details...

Political calls, charities and researchers are exempt from the do not call provisions - really annoying.

Only reason I have a land line is for the internet but no phone plugged in. Mobile is a work mobile and I just don’t answer it after 5pm so not a drama. Those that need to talk to me text me after hours.

I don’t own a personal mobile, I hate being able to be contacted 24/7. When I go out after hours and the weekends I only take the mobile in case a Land Rover or the Jag breaks down. Turned off or on mute the rest of the time.

    Simples. 👍

You're a bit on the lucky side then.

Many of the idiots just use computers to dial random numbers, hundreds at a time. They answer the first of those random numbers to respond and hang up on the rest. Repeat over and over again.

So it's not dependent on whether your number is listed or not.
