Typical Englishman, spelt as pronounced but seem to be a number of different spellings in Australia Why are English people called Poms? - Quora

Prisoner Of Mother England (POME) rather than 'apple' in French.

    Cheers Ean

And if their Sub & Car Design Divisions get it all arse about they may think it should be on top to actually allow water to enter as per Land Rover.

If they purchased Land Rover it wouldn't affect me because I'm not really interested in any of the current cars and especially, from pictures so far, the new Defender.

As Gavin mentioned.....being a pomme there isn't much love between the English & French (for some reason they don't like us bringing up the Battle of Agincourt)

PSA are currently on hold with the new Commodore - there are still 2017 models stacked up in paddocks waiting for Holden to sell them. They suspended production in around November and I don't think another has rolled off the line since - certainly not as a Commodore bound for Aus, but I'd imagine it's a platform for other vehicles they produce elsewhere too. It is an unmitigated disaster for Holden who are keeping this as quiet as possible.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Maybe they are ashamed & feel guilty, so maybe if they returned all their ill gotten money they received from Australian Taxpayers before they pulled the plug, may just relieve some of that guilt.

It is obvious now read in hindsight, that there was not enough thought given to repercussions from loyal Australian purchasers who for years had supported the 'Goose that had laid the Golden Egg' & so is why today( based on the above post) they find themselves in the ****.

    Just sayin'.

If they do buy JLR it will be down hill from then on . If you think JRL after sales service is bad it is only going to get worst. I bought a Citroen C4 about 8 years ago , the whole period of the warranty could not get the dealer to fix any thing under warranty . Once it the warranty finished they started finding all these faults I had been complaining about the last 3 years & wanting to charge me for them. Went else were it was a different vehicle after that. Only kept it another year .
As for the new Commodore my son in law hired one last month in Melbourne for a week ( he is a real Holden fan) said it was the worst car he had ever driven . Said it was very unstable & kept wondering all over the road . He is not sure it he will buy another Commodore after driving that one.

In other words they won a fair few battles over that massive amount of time, lost and / or drew a few and never actually won a war.
