I always love the ripped off and over charged headlines on fuel. There is no set price and so it is whatever a competitive market allows the retailer to obtain

The question the media needs to be asking is about competition in the market and if as they are suggesting it does not work what needs to be done rather than just writing simple beat up stories

If I buy local at Co Op will pay about 5 pence a litre more than if I drive a few miles to a branded petrol station. Have never heard anyone saying the Co Op is ripping off people or over charging

The UK does not see the weekly price swings with peaks on a Thursday as people are generally paid monthly

Love Block Chain. Great tech. Cypto banned from china and now via a revolution (unrest) in Kazakhstan has me chuckling a BIT Trust is funny. I have Zero trust in anything dependent on shonky power, political or electrical supply

"Kazakhstan's crypto mining farms are mostly powered by ageing coal plants which, along with coal mines and the towns built around them, are a headache for authorities seeking to decarbonise the economy."

So much triva in that its funny.
Bitcoin mining worldwide uses a lot of electricity, more than Argentina or Finland or the Netherlands I've heard at various times. If it was a country it would be the 30th largest user.

    Chips at risk

"Fast food lovers are on high alert after a recent storm put an Australian state's supply of hot chips at risk.
Farmers have warned customers of a potential potato shortage in Victoria after a storm hit a major growing region near Ballarat, west of Melbourne.
The storm is estimated by Victorian Farmers Federation horticulture vice president Katherine Myers to have destroyed $25 million worth of produce."

To be honest I haven't eaten Maccas for years or decades

If the grain issues make whisky, beer or grapes hit wine then I am stuffed perhaps

I guess that could be the nearest thing to Chip Buttys.

Take one 10" Victoria Sponge, cut in half horizontally, add lashings of Strawberry Conserve then add 1kg of frozen Barbecue Chips. Defrosted & fried of course.

I reckon you have been watching too much of that TV Ad, where the Truckie leans out of the cab & digs a big greasy fat chip into a pot of creamy **** & sits back all satisfied like.

We really do need a Puke smiley.
