Thanks. We had no idea what it was and the brief for the job didn't extend to finding out. Only extended about 5 metres downstream from the drain, unlike the black which went all the way to the beach.

Me as well, except it was called a" Knob of Blue". Reckitts I think, were the manufacturers. Still available today around Oz in certain places Still referred to as Reckitt's Crown Blue. Meant to change the colour of one's gold crown I suspect & in this Platinum year it is important to have the correct colour Crown for those unexpected invites.

To dye the whites slightly blue in the wash so they look brighter.
Later came the 'blue beads of bleach' in one of the brands of laundry powder.
Also the reason belly button fluff is blue.
More trivia.............. belly button fluff migrates upwards from underwear via a hairy lower abdomen. Shave it off and no more blue fluff.
