"Unlike the US Abrams tanks, Leopards run on diesel fuel rather than jet fuel.
"So if need be, you can literally pull up at a service station and fill them up, as opposed to the really high-performance fuels that other tanks like Abrams have to rely on," Mr Langford said."

Trivia? I wonder what you would do if filling up the Disco/ rangie/ Landie and a "66.5 tonne" Leopard Tank lined up behind you

Other Trivia is I did once start a Leopard tank. Army cadets was fun.

Maybe you couldn't get the nozzle to flow.

Bet you would want the high flow nozzle 1,200 litres might take a while.

1200 litres takes a bit even with high flow.

Might be missing a zero there, James. The Iveco PowerStar I drove a few times held more than that.

Fill it very bloody quickly I reckon. There'd be no buggerising around checking oil & cleaning the windscreen or checking the tyres & lights.

Apologies. I thought I was still back in the 1950/60s. I don't know what came over me for a couple of secs there.

You'd be hard pressed to start one today it seems. I believe the Crankcase is chokkas with concrete & possibly some other "Non Start" features

I don't believe that Australia's Leopard Fleet ever saw any hostilities before they were spread around OZ to end their life on Concrete hardstands. We just had to have the latest at squillions of $ to look nice.

See your Doctor for a bit of paper?

    "
    • Operators in some sectors say they will still ask infected staff to stay at home to protect other workers and people they serve
    • But whether worker receives paid sick leave depends on employer if doctor’s medical certificate recommends fewer than four days off

    "

Chatted with a gym asking me for a Doctors certificate re recent surgery. I refused. I have the scars to prove the surgery. Why would medicare fund a stupid question? It does of course- I refuse to do it

Pulled in to the Puma servo at Dayboro a couple weeks ago. Had to wait a while behind a grader filling up at the bowser.
