Point being, "Traditional vaccines" such as Pertusis, Smallpox etc. have a pretty good history of. "working", that is, getting jabbed gives the jabbee a high rate of protection, enough to assume 'perfect' shielding, and informs the Common Man of what to expect from a 'vaccine'. 'Perfect protection'.
-- They sold themselves, (No mandates needed) such was the observed success rate, - I have no fear of smallpox or polio, despite the lack of boosters over 60+ years. They 'WORK'.
However, the COV-19 Gene Therapy is proving - with time - that it ain't so, it's 'Leaky' . As the (poultry) Marek's Disease Vaccine Disaster showed, "leaky" tends to encourage more mutations, and thus rarely ends well.
-
But - unless you are selective about your choice of examples, "traditional" vaccines do not in general give "perfect protection".
You only have to look at one of the most common vaccines - influenza. And the same goes for many other vaccines that give less protection. Nevertheless these vaccines are well worth using, simply because they save lives and reduce pressure on medical facilities. Again, you just have to look at influenza. Or DPT, which requires a booster every few years, meaning that exactly the same issue you claim for covid vaccines should exist for these, two of the most commonly used vaccines worldwide for the last sixty years.
Oh, and no covid vaccines use "gene therapy", and not all, or even the most commonly used ones, use messenger RNA technology. This last had had a lot of press, because it is relatively new, having only been around for the last fifteen years or so. Its advantage is that it makes it possible to develop and change vaccines very rapidly so that emerging threats can be targetted quickly. This is especially useful for infectious agents that evolve rapidly such as RNA viruses.

These concepts are very popular with a certain type of pressure group. political and civil servant
Oxford is a traffic problem but that is partly at least due to the lack of the necessary roads. They do not have a proper ring road or through roads. Try to build and all the usuals come out saying it is not necessary. Politicians crumble or it spends a decade in planning as the whole planning system here is designed to stop anything happening
They usually talk a lot about the world was a better place when everyone rode bicycles instead of driving cars. Power source of the car is irrelevant. Sort of like Amish but a different time cut off
Of course they have no time for those who when their car is removed cannot ride a bike. Friend has a mobility scooter as it turns out you do not have to be disabled to own or drive one. No requirement for insurance either
Nor that this is a country where it rains all the time. We are in a drought and have not been able to mow the grass for 2 months as it had never been dry on enough connective days. They are not the only one who have trouble seeing this as architects love to build open Italian style plazas which are useable for 2 months a year the rest of the time wet windswept and deserted of people but loved by litter

The self-proclaimed kingdom that doesn't recognise Germany
The Germans do seem to beat us " one of an estimated 21,000 people who are defined by the country's intelligence agencies as conspiracy theorists who don't recognise the legitimacy of the post-war German state."
Big claim on my part on our limited number of crazies as Byron Bay and near by does have a few[bigrolf]
