Why is carbon SO bad ? - Plants and TREES love the gaseous variant, CO2, which they use along with water to transmute into 'plant food' - which makes the TREE grow... and pumps out OXYGEN as a by-product.Quote:

'Climate Change' is being foisted upon the world by the UN (again...) and I strongly suspect there's a political / financial basis for it, probably 'wealth re-distribution'
Carbon is fine if it's locked up in trees, but is bad if the trees are cleared and burnt, which releases the carbon into the atmosphere. So keep carbon stored to avoid screwing up the atmosphere.
Now Mick, putting trees aside, 18% of the human body is carbon. The annual world death rate is around 55 million. That's a lot of carbon going into the environment each year and the population is growing quickly.
In saying this, the human body is 65% oxygen so, shouldn't we be breathing easy?
