As above, both are on the southside of Brisbane.
You may be better off setting up camp and waiting for BOR.

Many thanks - will cogitate over a long awaited beer after driving slowly from Winton to Chinchilla in 2 days - Noosa ETA early pm tomorrow.

The bitumen roads here are worse than many of our WA gravel versions- as much up and down as forward while towing the brick.

If the brick sustains much more damage it will have to be renamed the Lemon Brick, as I had to bolt the front floating floor back on in Winton after a number of aluminium welds broke - by no means the first problem. Can you have Monday and Friday caravans like cars off the assembly line?

there spare parts is very good but on the service side I was always told if I have nothing good to say I'm best to say nothing at all so I'll say nothing about there service team.

And they are the good roads. Just be aware, you will get miles and miles of straight relatively flat roads, with a 'jump up' every now & again, where you can't see the on coming traffic. usually the place where young country drivers decide to pass after the pub on their way to the dance. Be off the road and camped before dark [ or pub closing time] is good. Just my experience as a young country driver.

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Gavin, you mention a ‘groan’ emanating from drive line, ..... if it morphs into a ‘shudder ‘
just sit yourself down with that beer , and type in shudder in transmission, in the D3 section.

Not uncommon, may be alleviated by Dr. Tranny, or a flush ,or ignore or 7000 little shiny coins.

    Whatever, best of luck.

When Roadtec built the Warrego they were a bit stretched for time, money and gear. They had to go from dozer to paver, skipping the grader and roller phase.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Yep, we came in from the NT side, so have experienced many of what you so well describe.
We also plan to next head back up north to Normanton etc via inland, then depending on an update from Jonesfam (Paul) at Domagee? either via the Savannah Way, or if too much "not so hot" gravel, back to Darwin via more south and Tennant Creek/the 3 ways, then home via highway 1 to Fremantle.

Many thanks - am hoping not, having read that thread, and its more of a grinding bearing type noise to my untrained ear. Ironically, I'm sure either MR or British Off Road could diagnose the problem in a moment, even though neither have the time to fix in the short term - will see.

    EDIT
Plus we have this "orrible caravan following behind

Closer to Brisbane, but on the north side and near the train line (Albion Stn if that helps) is Knights House Of Rover (KHOR) although they might be in a state of flux at the moment, as Bob the owner, passed away recently. I've had good service from them when they fixed a tricky air suspension fault on my D3. https://khor.com.au/
