Stevo,

I thought about this idea for awhile but couldn't get a price from LRA for the kit so ditched it for the ARB setup.

Since then you probably have seen the hidden winch setup on the disco3.co.uk forum. If you're going to fit a winch I'd go with the hidden setup to keep the front of the D3 looking like the orginal vehicle.

The winch hanging out the front of the D3 looks funny to me and only if you put on the A-bar will it look reasonable IMHO.

I gotta say that the D3 is looking better every time I see one, initially I wasn't all that impressed.
Same goes for the winch.
Kinda like a dogs balls effect, but I suppose you would get used to it.

Well some interesting comments so far from gay to dogs balls I dont mind it though would have it with the LR bull bar which I like cause it still maintains the look of the D3. However I agree with Chris on the hidden winch which is actually in the front bar, not sticking out like that one. I think that is the type of thing Tombraider maybe bringing in as I am sure there was a pic of the D3 with the hidden winch which look great.

It should be integrated with the A-frame bar and driving lights as per the G4 Challenge Discovery. I still don't understand why Land Rover doesn't use the G4 challenge vehicles to sell accessories. Imagine how many of us would purchase a G4 pack ... just look at it ... makes me droooool!!!

Have to agree that the LR setup looks like "Oh **** we for got to put a winch on lets slapp it here" Whats holding it on? Double sided tape???? Go the ARB it looks like the goods!!

The one Ive seen at work with a bull bar and winch looks great. Definatly worth the effort. Only reason it still looks tame compared to mine is the height difference when they are parked.

Thats and interesting way of putting it Barney.

I am not keen on it, i reckon the G4 D3 set up looks the best. Matt
