Almost done, the rental trucks will get through now, but someone’s still going to collect it. Looks like an easy re grade of the tracks - maybe this is why the didn’t go any higher, that would probably have meant cutting and rejoining them rather than a quick lift, tamp and ballast at each side.

I think the bridge sign meant you were suppose to turn before the bridge not after it.[biggrin]
We have/had two here where the road takes a dip under the bridge. Problem? Heavy rain floods them & vehicles just barrel into them.
Not sure if both have been remedied due to ongoing road works but for years each accounted for more "wet" vehicles than you could shake a stick at.
Roads were the Goodwood Road underpass & one at Bowden. Both had rail overhead. Don't know of any others in Adelaide. Appears as though Bowden has been upgraded now. Possibly Gav gave them some ideas by using foam?[bigsmile1]

Well one thing is for sure, you have to acknowledge the bridge designer and builder of the day.
That old bridge was very well constructed and never seemed to give a mm, but certainly managed
to behead a lot of trucks and machinery.
When it was such a hazard it makes you wonder why the problem wasn't addressed and rectified a lot sooner.
Admittedly it was always due to "Human Error" that incidents occurred, but that was never going to go away.
Cheers, Mick.
Well a new era begins. The 12’ 4” is open for business and ready for its next victim. 👍

Well, just have to wait for Blind Freddy in a 13' van to properly open it up. Literally. [biggrin]
Gav, I bet the sound of the approaching Loco & horn make you all goose bumpy.[smilebigeye]
