What are ya? (Boomer, X, Y or Z)

I woz born a couple of years before the "Boomer" lot so not sure what that makes me except a grumpy old fart. But I see there's no mention of that other bunch of tossers ...the "woke" people!
Maybe they should just be renamed "know it-alls" as they were years ago. Plus millennials are maybe apprentice "wokes" and will breed other loud mouthed know it-alls with phones clamped to their heads.

As you would well know young Gavin, I pre-date any of your youngfella classifications and yes, I still have my truck and motorcycle licences. But I think "oldfart" is more than a little rude for a senior/elder of the tribe :), but if that is what you want me to be it is probably better than what my children call me when my back is turned

In my opinion age could be seen as an older odometer and hopefully reset starting back a zero if it doesn't wear out first :)

I like the term ‘Elder’ - implies wisdom and patience. I’d call Boomers Seniors but I think some probably take offence to that. [emoji56]

Born in 64 but refuse to be classified as a boomer, all my friends are gen X as well as my wife. I reckon the baby boom from WW2 ended earlier than 64, probably in 60.

Rather than "Boomer" I like to think of myself as a "Bloomer", every year blossoming better then the preceding![biggrin][biggrin]:angel: !

I'm mid-X : I use my phone to receive and make calls between about 8am & 5.30pm Weekdays. Outside of that it's on silent and usually misplaced.
My wife is early Y : Her phone is the first thing she sees in the morning and the last thing at night. I fit in when she forgets to charge it.

I learned something new today. We have been so fortunate as to create yet another box we can fit in :) Though I must say I like this box. I read the wikipedia article and it resonates with how I have felt for some time when thinking about or discussing generations. Born in 77 but having been lucky to be at the forefront of technology (internet in 1990 was quite different I can tell you) and growing up with the unbridled optimism of tv shows like star trek TNG, but still playing outside and been untethered to a device. I do feel that I am definitely not 100% gen X but I neither do I feel millennial.

I voted X since that is what the rules stated but xennial is more accurate :)
