8 mm for us yesterday over several hours so, good enough. The good woman is happy as, over the last week, she has planted quite a number of trees around the bottom gully and vicinity thereof.
I will have to be on my guard next time I have the tractor/flail in the area.[bighmmm]
The air seeders have been going 24/7 for the last few days around here So I am not the only one hoping that Sunday will be the "Break" in the season and that we get some decent falls [thumbsupbig]
Only my house tank and one of my garden tanks have any water in them at the moment But it has given me the chance to clean out the other water tanks (bugger of a job) in preparation for winter [biggrin]
As I usually do, I sent my next door neighbour a text with my rainfall - got a reply several hours later "OK, Thanks, haven't measured it yet, just want to finish this bit of sowing".Quote:

I have just spent 3 hrs battening down the hatches and I will hook up the boat and van this arvo so that they have 3t of steel hanging off them just in case it decides to blow its guts out.

This house has been here for well over 100 years and it has never been flooded out.
The Greenough flats however do flood on occasion But we are at least 60m higher than the flats.
