Hughie and the BOM obviously do not talk to each other.

BOM says it'll rain here and Hughie sends it down over there.

Hughie drives a Land Rover, so reliability is not a priority to him.

I have moved the small water tank and am in the process of digging out the foundations to install a larger water tank, which is sitting in the front yard, so I'd prefer no rain for a few days please.

We’ve just had all your dust (and that of many others between you and I) drop to the ground as mud

The old 110 turned from white to red
Have just cleaned it on the drive to Perth
Don’t know if the rain or the wind done most of the work

We have only had .2 of a mil so far and the wind is still gusting up to 50kts, Its been blowing its arse off here all day so far and I think that there will be a few thousand acres that will need to be re seeded because of the damage that the wind has done to the paddocks .
The entire house is covered in dust inside and the power still isn't back on yet.
I have got the genset running for the fridge/freezers, a couple of lights and the missus TV.
What a bastard of a day so far

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Orson was a Much more powerful storm But then again it hit where all the buildings were designed to take that sort of punishment, Not so much here in the Mid West.
NO damage to this old house as far as I am aware But the storm did manage to inundate the house in dust, strip large branches from gum trees and flatten some of my veggie patch.
I haven't had a GOOD look around outside yet because it was too dodgy to go out yesterday and the storm only started to quieten down after sunset, I will have a good look around this morning.
