We are expecting some showers Thursday and Friday that will be very welcome But it wont be the downpour that is needed to fill my tanks yet.
On a side note the last lot of showers a few days ago (about 6mm) did wonders for my veggie patch

Yrs, ours needed a new earth cable and battery, plus a huge cleanup of rat mess, before we sold it recently, as our landscaping means we no longer need it.

According to BOM we are getting rain here today , not sure who in Brisbane is getting it but not at our place. Out dog has wet the grass more than the weather.

Decent drop here, moderate to heavy, intermittent showers over the last 14 hours.

Yes, thanks Ian! Took a few minutes to trace it. A worn cable/connector on a very acute angle on the main lead. With the very much reduced power flow, the winch just said no.
All good now, with new connection and the acute angle gone as well and the cost?

    Nil!

5mm here since last night. I've just sown some broad beans today, so that should chase the rain away.

BOM says we've had 4.8 since 9am. Pretty patchy with five mins of rain every hour. Welcome, but more please.

We had two inches about an hour ago - two inches between drops, that is! left pock marks in the dust.

3.5 mm day before last. Enough to have the garlic lift their heads up. Water with town water , not as good as old fashioned rain.
