Not looking likely to rain here for several days, says BOM.
This thread reminds me of my 15th Christmas, my parents got me a short wave receiver and after spending the morning setting up a longwire antenna strung between the trees out the front I started listening to the cockies in western Qld and south Australia discussing the weather and how much rain they had got.

10mm this morning. Again, woken up by very heavy rain and lightning at 0400. Can't have gone on too long, or there would be more in the gauge.

June is normally reasonably damp, but its only been a drizzle so far.
Forecasts suggest July-September rainfall in SE Qld has a good chance of exceeding the mean, which would be nice.
Climate Outlooks
We had sustained heavy rain in Yass last night and 34 mm in the gauge this morning. Mostly sunny and cold today with a couple of showers.

I'm predicting very low temps and the chance of heavy showers on the 10th, 11th and 12th of July, particularly in the Gympie hinterland.![]()
