November to January is the forecast for better than average rain. From memory I think 2011was similar, remember what happened then ?

Sooner the better. Drove past the Ewen Maddox dam on the Sunshine Coast yesterday. Where there was water, there are now mud flats stretching off into the distance...

We have had a couple of showers overnight & today but nothing enough for me to stop hedging with an electric hedger. Still very overcast so hopefully we will get some more . At least it is soaking in & not running off.

Tests the other day showed no leak without pump & 20mm with pump . Have now isolated the sollar heater as well filled pool & marked level , guy is coming back Tuesday .
I hate to say it but I am hopping it dose not rain or the test will not be any good & will have to start test again .
Well found the leak in return line to the spa DSCN4516.jpg Small dent in pipe were arrow is pointing , looks like a digging fork , not sure how I have never owned a digging fork .DSCN4517.jpg dug all this up before I found it A least I remembered were the pipes were from when the pool was put in over 30 years ago.
, I could fix it my self but decided to get some one on to fix it because I also found this DSCN4519.jpg DSCN4520.jpg So getting booth pipes replaced plus pool /spa return valve replaced & all lines pressure tested. Will put a sheet of aluminium over the pipes so can't happen again.

Really dry here,we need some rain urgently.Had a few showers over the last couple of months, but only a few mm.

I don't think we have had a good amount for quite a few months.

Out at the property we have the best wheat crop for 6 years

    As do the neighbouring properties.

No roos around helps as well, they are going to take years to breed back up to the numbers that were around before the drought.

Sheep are doing OK,but the grass hasn't really recovered, its going to probably take 3 years, with good summer rains, and winter storms to get it good again.

Drizzling here in Maleny this arvo, which is good, but we need a week of steady rain to really restore the situation.

Looks like root damage to me and 30 years out of a bit of pvc pipe is pretty good value anyway

The only roots are the ones you can see which ore only fine soft roots , just dug it out with a small garden hand shovel. Pipes were in bedding sand .& artificial grass over top.

Yeehaa! 2ml here yesterday arvo! That makes a whopping 2.4ml for the month.

I reckon DM may have fared better yesterday, going by the view of the clouds from my place.

You may be right, but I don't know.
