I always strip off and hose myself off, if dusty. There is a 30 metre hose on the machinery shed tanks, that is warmed by the sun. Sometimes too warm.

    Well , that was lovely.

    60mm in an hour.

so close to flooding , not quite over the damp course and trying to back up laundry bathroom drains.

basically gone as quick as it came.

BOM registrations in nearby suburbs only 25mm

daughter at Mt Warren Pk really didn't get any rain 10km away

Is this the first Cyclone to downgrade to a low before crossing land? We were always told they need to cross the land before losing intensity , can't remember the last one that did this. But my memory is not as good as it was. And shifting track NW, a complete turn around. Curious.

A very welcome 17mm in the gauge at 2pm yesteday and we had a shower last night but I havent checked the gauge yet.
The BIL lives just 5k's north of here and yet he only got 1mm unfortunately.
Also much needed relief from the 40C + temps we have been having lately as well

All this is due to the tropical Low that is now headed towards the Gasgoyne coast which should produce some further falls in my area over the next few days

We are getting webbed feet here in Avoca Beach.
For the last several weeks it has rained almost every day.
Last night the channel 7 weather and the BOM said clear today.
Rain showers this morning but fine now.
My 3000L tank has been full so far all summer , which it has never been before . Usually empty by now just from use in laundry.

Here in Westlake I have had 30mm since Sunday morning, not raining at moment but going by the humidity we will be getting some more today. My 3X 300L tanks are full first time in over a year & a half. overflow from one tank being into the pool so if it keeps up I will be pumping water down the drain soon.

74 mm overnight. Just in time, the water tank was empty. A good year for the veg. garden, just made a batch of guava marmalade, got my beeswax melter organised for sun drying tomatoes, & drying chillies, waiting for them to grow now.

Qld could be in for an East Coast Low, which is what caused flooding back in 2014 or 2015.

Australia’s wild and wet summer is about to unleash another drenching, with thunderstorms, heavy rain and floods forecast for NSW and Victoria.

Weatherzone meteorologist Ben Domensino said the soggy spell was due to an unusual weather pattern – with Australia being squeezed by four low-pressure systems.

Had 4mm just before dark. And judging from the radar it is starting again shortly. Forecast was <1mm today!

74ml over the last few days from that tropical low that came down the West Coast
Still getting the odd shower or two and a bit of wind But that looks like the end of it until the end of May unless we get some more cyclone type weather.
The tanks are now all full

The only downside is that the mozzies and flies will be out in force in a couple of weeks and will be a real PITA when the 40+ weather come back.
