Had a decent storm go through here before 18:00, power still out.
Must be a nasty smash on the highway, just west of here, a BRT, an ambulance and two cop cars raced past, with lights and sirens. Hope everyone is safe.

    75mm here, over night.
We copped a ripper of a lightning strike, which tripped the top shed breakers, made Helen offer up profanities and I caught the hound on his way back down to the floor. It also destroyed our Telstra modem, going by its lack of lights. I'm now piggy-backing computer internet via my tablet as I'm not missing the 'Gabba test for any reason.

I may leave it as a permanent set up, rather than deal with the big 'T'.

We had one earlier this year , took out NBN box , Telstra modem , our big smart TV & couple of security cameras , all were plugged into serge arresters. We had 30mm yesterday & 50 mm day before.

I had all the TVs and 'puters unplugged, which I've been doing for years when a storm is nigh. I reckon the modem took a hit through the 'phone line, as we didn't lose power to the house.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Turns out I know the woman involved. The roads will be one car safer over Christmas, hers is a write off.

Just got to get the auxiliary battery set up finished, then visit my mate who lives on acreage 15 minutes from baffle. Getting away from the mate & his whiskey may be a challenge, but I'm willing to try.
