Another 18 mm. What a change rain makes. The birds are going right off. Our Kookaburra choir has been practising all day, ready for their 4 am recital. Don't know where they've been, but they're back. The Butcher birds have been singing just outside our window- 20 minutes without repeating a song. The Pelicans seem to have moved out. Black fellas say that's a sign big rain is coming. The Pelicans move out west to breed, Usually weeks before the rain. Thing is this is November weather. Going for a drive tomorrow to see if they have indeed gone. The rain is somehow comforting.
What does this meter measure, water flow?[smilebigeye]
If you put a 250 ml glass under a running tap, when it is full it is at 100%. Keep the tap running all you like but the glass can still only hold 250 ml. i.e. 100%, with the excess running off.
Even though this theoretic dam has run off, it is still at 100%.
I am good to go next time it rains.
6x IBC tanks at $50 a pop is I much cheaper option than $970 for a 4500l poly tank [thumbsupbig][thumbsupbig].
Now all I have to do is to wait until March/April for the rain to fill me up[biggrin]

Been there............. the water will be one of the 36 known Irish shades in no time in those.
You can wrap them in black concrete underlay with tape to keep the light out, or ..............buy a poly tank, the darker the better.
I bought 2x Polymaster 22,500 l tanks in darkest grey some years ago and they're just great.
cheers, DL
I have painted them to try and mitigate some of the alge dramas But at the end of the day this water will only be used on the garden anyway because my bore water isn't the best for plants.
Putting a bit of green water on plants can't be a Bad thing[biggrin]
$50 a pop is a bloody good deal!
