Nice word for a great smell. We have a few months to wait for warm enough ground around these parts. Around here it is just the various fragrances of mud. [biggrin]

Our house tanks floweth over.
Here too.
As long as the septic tank doth not flow over...[bigsad]
Iam becoming an expert at driving in torrential Downpours.
Last week 400 km from Avoca Beach to Nambucca Heads on the day Taree flooded.
Then Byron to Nambour same story.
Today Childers to Yeppoon worst of all because of the disgraceful state of the Bruce Highway and lots of standing water.
In February was at Culburra Beach and tried to get home. Nup Kiama bends landslide. Went back and tried Kangaroo Valley nup 2 landslides.
It’ s too late to hire myself to farmers. I am now thinking of charging road crews to not go in their area.

OMG. Gin Gin to Rockhampton. Absolutely awful. I reckon that I had to remove most of their pothole repair tar from the flanks and rear and wheels of the D4. A full day of soapy wash followed by turps wash followed by soap wash followed by chamois and finished with polish / wax.
At least it’s looking schmick now. Apart from the nasty scuff some **** put on the front bumper a few days later at the shopping centre car park.
53mm this morning. River is nearly 2m over the bridge, and about an hour ago I got a call from next door to come and pull my neighbor out of the creek through his place. In his brand new Polaris - apparently forgot to engage four wheel drive until it was already thoroughly bogged. Pulled him out with the 2a.
And about two hours ago, No.2 son rang to say his kids schools had called to come and get the kids because the town (Yass) would soon be cut in two, and the schools and home are on opposite sides of the river.
A Bit damp in Yass today. We have had over 60mm in 24 hours, the river peaked at lunchtime but nowhere near the 1950's flood level.

All the kids were happy because council were threatening to close the bridge if the water went over the road so they were all pretty much sent home at lunchtime.
