Probably the same time but things are always a bit slower to the West.

BOM is showing a nice bank of clouds heading our way, so I'm hopeful.

Update: Actual rain is fallling! Send her down, hughie!

After the fog lifted around 10am nothing but sun shine here in Westlake. Infact no rain since mid day Saturday.

Well, that was a real fizzer. Those cloud banks have been non-events lately, just teases.

I did not think we had had any rain overnight, but using a torch it became apparent it was actually raining - very lightly. Gauge showed less than a quarter of a millimetres. I did not bother to either log it or empty the gauge! It has stopped raining but is still low overcast.

BOM says we have had 1.6mm since 9am yesterday. Just a few periods of drizzle in a generally sunny day.
Today is clear and cold. Was 12 degrees when I got up. Winter has arrived with the shortest day of the year.

It's the winter solstice but what does that mean for our seasons?

20200622_085215.jpg This is all we have had in the last 3 weeks 7 mm & I would say this is from the last 4 days as when I looked last week it was empty. Have to stop using my phone as a camera.

The rain started about 4pm and there was 15mm in the gauge at last light and we have had a few showers since then
According to BOM we are going to get some showers pretty much all week So I can hang up the watering can for at least a week

Yes much the same at my place, the rain was so light it actually created a "rain shadow" under my palms so I had to put the sprinkler on my mini-mondo grass underneath.
