We had another 34mm over night so 75mm in last 24hrs. Dumping water out of pool this morning to help flood those down stream from us . Only dumping 100mm at a time , last time with advice from BOM dumped to bottom of skimmer box & it stopped raining couple of hours later & had to buy water to top up .

We were forecast a good downpour a few days ago and we only got 16mm But 16mm is much better than SFA I suppose.

A couple, who do not identify as Caucasian, had to be rescued from the roof of a Nissan Navara today. It was the third time this year, they have been rescued from similar circumstances. Third time lucky, they copped a fine this time.

The rain looks as though it's over, here. My weather station stopped recording, sometime after midnight, but we haven't had a lot since then. Perhaps 3mm-4mm.

    So, the total here is : 00:00 hrs Wednesday 11th to 23:59 Saturday 14th = 406mm.

I just took the stir crazy hound for a walk. We checked out one of the bottom gullies, which is fed by our dam. It's normally gently concaved, about 15 metres wide and 5 metres deep.
At present, it is 3 metres wide and 2 metres deep! Right along were there is to be about 300 meters of new fence. Better that it happened now, rather than after the fence was in.

It's going to take a bit of work to rectify, to make it suitable for re- fencing, but it is a mere molehill, when compared to the poor buggers in flooded, residential areas!

don't get too excited about drying out.....

I sat down and tried to digest all the factors that cause rain and all those that don't and called for a vote.....

the ayes have it unfortunately.....apparently right through to December......ie more rain than usual.....isn't that what we've been having?
