NSW is being greedy! Take care all
I hope it can hold off till after next week, I'm on the second of three trip down the Newell. What's not flooded looks lush and green, I've never seen the Murray so high and wide.

It has not started yet*, but looking at the radar, it will within an hour or so. Fortunately I also live on a hill. But went to town yesterday and stocked up. Hopefully it is not as bad as the forecast - if it is a couple of my grandkids are going to be late back to school.

    Prepared and on a hill

Have to feel for and wonder about the sanity/mental health of the repeat offenders who get underwater more than I do. Listened to a Business review which covered wheat and Pakistan floods. OMG plus or the millions approaching winter who have not a lot at all.

Wet Wheat here as well I guess? Water is great for farming- at the wrong time its not of course welcome Issues Not just here of course with Wheat

If this rain is anything like forecast in the next few days, the NSW summer harvest is going to be significantly lower than was expected from the season. There is already a lot less summer crops sown than was expected because the paddocks were too wet for machinery. And some so far successful crops will be destroyed by flooding if the forecast is right.

SWMBO's parents live at Warren and the house is on a creek that flows into the Macquarie (and backs up from it as well) For the past 3 months Water resources has been playing a game of how much can we release and stay within the banks of the Macquarie with a bit of minor flooding. Burrendong is at 116% as of today and maximum capacity is 142%. Hopefully capacity will be sufficient to avoid major flooding. At least no one can say the Macquarie marshes aren't getting enough water....

And there is Bathurst this weekend, a bit of wet weather should spice things up.

Yes indeed, wet qualifying with 90% chance of 20 - 40mm on Saturday and 70% chance of 1 - 5 mm on Sunday for the race.

Tiny issue is some idiot booked to ride over the Westgate bridge- Geelong... 'around the bay in a day' Do I wear a wet suit on my bike? 210km is a bit nuts? I may miss my motor bike and wet suite before I get home!
I have a boat if you gents and ladies need it

Doing one of the shorter versions of ATBIAD with the kids this year but the weather forecast is "Partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower", so shouldn't be too bad.
