Yes, I thought so too. This isn't the first time. Last time the water at Riverdale got halfway up the escalators. And took them months to get them going again.

The river at Elong is falling very slowly, probably this has got a lot to do with the level at Dunedoo, which rose from about 2m to above 4.5m by midnight Saturday and has remained between 4.5 and 5m ever since.

We got about 60mm in Yass but there was 86mm in the gauge at the farm between Tuesday and yesterday. Lots of water in the Lachlan at Bevendale too, probably equally as high as I've seen it.

Your concern is heartening and appreciated, but I haven't left yet. I am well stocked in anticipation.

Just found the Lachlan Valley Way is closed just south of Cowra. There is a workaround, but it will add time. And the river is still rising there.

Detours that work for light vehicles are often not available for B doubles, John.
