Yes, I know - and special ones are specified for B-doubles in some cases - often a lot longer. For example one I saw recently for Mudgee to Dunedoo via Lithgow and Dubbo!

I'll go and return via the village of Sydney, to be on the safe side.
This is not the forum to discuss the detour I took last week, but it involved some rather narrow roads.

Got home today after taking the kids back to Yass (two days late), leaving as soon as the bridge was above water. Came back today - and got bogged on my place about a kilometre from the house. Called a neighbor to come and help.

She could barely get here on a four wheel motorbike. We unhooked the trailer (I had taken a bed to Yass), and i was able to drive it out with a bit of backing and filling. Probably could have done that when I got bogged, but i had my good clobber on, so I walked home and came back in the 2a. With two drivers we able to get the to vehicles back home. I then took my neighbor back to get the bike, after a cup of tea.

My sister is NW of Bridgewater in Vic. Her 2km driveway has been unusable for a couple of weeks now, as all the country is saturated.

She walked down to her car at the gate yesterday and went into town for a week's supplies. Supermarket was chockers with everyone doing the same. Word has spread that all the roads up there will be closed after this latest sprinkle.

Sept / Oct all the fronts passing through SA get arced up by the difference between the temp on land and an ocean that is slow to warm.

Usually it just gets really windy (sometimes wild windy like Oct 29 last year), the so called 'equinoxial gales' (that don't happen at the March equinox when the temps are similar.

This system is sucking in moist tropical air just for something a little different.

If anyone is heading there, you'd better check the recent updates by the organisers.

Went and retrieved my trailer (left in the bog yesterday) this afternoon. I don't think I mentioned it earlier.

The place I got bogged, by the way, is where we had the tenth anniversary get together of AULRO.
