Grumpy old buggers thread

Last Friday I fly out of Doomadgee for Cairns, plane breaks down on Mornington Island, 5 hours of sitting in uncomfortable chair awaiting rescue flight.
Finally get into Cairns at 7.30pm, wait 45 minutes for bag, line up for almost an hour for taxi.
Get to motel then go out for dinner, restaurant crowded, noisy & unpleasant.
Sunday, airport to fly to Gold Coast, 3/4 of an hour to check in, 1/2 an hour to get through security. Get to Gold Coast, wait even longer for bag but only 30 minutes for taxi. Go out to dinner, have to much wine.
GC airport this morning, try to check in at wrong airline, Finally sort that, almost have to strip to nude to get through security, get taken to room & patted down, thank you he says, get stuffed I say.
Back in Cairns, nearly 2 hours to get bag & taxi!
Be home tomorrow, assuming plane doesn't break down, & very much looking forward to being there.

What I want to know is why is Jonesfam using the ‘ Grumpy old buggers ‘ .?
i understand he is only a young bugger .[bighmmm]

But I suppose after a spell on the Sin Coast, and waiting interminably at various bleak airports ,he may well feel old.

Further to my above post.
Children should NOT be allowed on aircraft until they are at least 30 years old.
Flying Cairns to GC I had a child behind me who insisted on pushing his knees or something into the back of my chair.
Today flying Cairns to Mornington I had a child behind me who pulled on my chair, yelled in my ear & on several occasions hit me in the back of the head. I wasn't sure weather to slap the child or the mother?
BTW We got back on the plane at Mornington only to be told here was a problem & we all had to get off. I was not impressed after the 5 hour delay on Friday but, thank the God of airplanes, it only took an hour to fix.
And what is this Real World thing that everything you want to do you have to line up, go through a cattle crush & then be mucked about when you finally get to the head of the line? City people must have the patience of Jove! I certainly don't! I'm totally over lining up even to get a meal or a coffee let alone a taxi or being in an airport.
Anyway, the good news is I am home & only have to deal with the trivial problems of my Roadhouse & idiot tourist, probably won't feel like killing anyone for at least a week.

Blimey! Mornington Island must have something in the water to bugger up your aircraft twice in a row.

If it was the same A/C it was probably to refit a cover or replace a few bolts left over from the previous visit that some mechanic found in his pockets. :wallbash::Thump::Rolling:
