Come on, let out your inner Grump. You can do it.
I don't know if this thread is supposed to make one grumpy , but it's making me laugh...
Come on, let out your inner Grump. You can do it.
yes I have a grump, , the word association thread
it is when people reply with two words or try to explain what they wrote
because the rules are one word, the first one comes into your head
read them you dumbasses , read the rules.....
I mean, this bloke obviously looked like he'd much rather be cruising and showing off his tatts than minding three little brats
No-one has ever seen my tatts. There is a reason for that. I ain't got none.I spent my hard earned on Grammar lessons instead.

That's not a Grump, that's merely an annoyance.
This is the Grumpy Old Man thread, which requires full on cussedness.
If you merely want to be annoyed, then start an Annoyed Old Man thread, but I confidently predict it won't be as much fun as being Grumpy.
I have several excuses for being a Grumpy Old Man. One of the more unusual excuses for my being grumpy is that I have Rabies.
Yes, I got the test results back today and my Rabies reading is 3.11 EU/ml, which apparently is outstanding.
"A level of 0.5 IU/ml or greater is considered to be a protective level following exposure to Rabies virus. In vitro Rabies antibodies have been found to be protective against Australian bat Lyssavirus," said the doctor's report.
Apparently I'm above the recommended level, so I'm a high achiever.
So, this is a wonderful excuse to trot out any time someone comments that I seem a bit grumpy or depressed. I can look sorrowful and say, "Yes, it's probably because of my Rabies. " I should get lots of sympathy (and free coffees).
This is great!
.....or they might think (as they would) that you are bats & run a mile.
They're safe as long as I don't bite them.
Seriously though, it's just a positive example of the benefits of being immunised.
Only 1% of bats actually have lyssavirus, so it's not a big risk, but registered bat carers have to have it, although we're not caring at the moment because we're doing so much travelling.
Realted to "Ampol coming back" thread.
I was reading an artical about the above & the CEO (there is a term I hate! What is wrong with General Manager?) said something to the effect of "Australian brand name - the people of Australia will reconise the name - great Australian heritage & BLA BLA.
If Ampol is/was such an important brand, name & icon of Australia then why the hell did you get rid of it 20 odd years ago? And, 20 odd years ago did you try to tell us all what a great business decision scraping Ampol was & how it would improve your customer offer BLA BLA.
Corporate speak crap!
And just because it is Christmas so I am exceptionally GRUMPY!
I have over the years had a lot of dealings with Public Servants, generally nice hard working people, but:
The language they use? Nothing but acronyms most of which I have no idea what mean? Just say the bloody whole thing.
And things like "As long as we take away learnings." Learnings? Is that even a real word? If it was me "As long as we learnt something."
Corporate speak, Public Service speak?
What happened to Normal speak?
Jonesfam
PS It's like Text spelling. I write a text (rarely) I write the whole words properly. My daughter sends me a text & it takes me an hour to work out what she is on about so I end up phoning her anyway.
I know I am a grump ole fart and I have the T shirts to prove it.
