This all brings me back to something I said on here a little over 5 years ago. You can't see a prostate. You can't see a liver either. If my Jan had had regular tests done they would have picked up the hep C she had been carrying for 30 odd years. They could probably done something about it. But she didn't, and she died of liver cancer.
Oh, what was it I said? Get tested, folks. I have always been allergic to doctors, but I see mine quite regularly now. So far so good. I even have a healthy liver, which is surprising given my former lifestyle. I haven't smoked for over twenty years. I haven't had a drink for seven months. Maybe I'll see my great grandkids, if there are any.
I have met a kind of soul mate, and even though we can never be together she makes me happy; or maybe I do that with her help. Life is great for the first time in years and I want to stay a while, so I am getting tested, and you should as well.

Surgery is not the way to go these days in my opinion & I wish I could turn the clock back but ho hum I'm stuck with the decision I made on the basis he said" he likes to have a good look around in there" Back then that seemed important.

My bloke was the last in SA to carry out surgery & I believe now it is all Key Hole stuff.

Key hole/remote seems to be the way to go as no actual open surgery is involved apart a small incision where they put their Workshop/Tools in & regular PSA tests are advisable to check on progress or not.

Things have come a long way in 10 years.

It is not him that suffers from incontinence cos he packed his traps & retired recently leaving me with the problem.

Had a Urethral Sling fitted a couple of years ago but no improvement so I live with it as it is & it can be bloody inconvenient as well as Costly even with some Govt assistance.

The best thing about this was the wonderful understanding care by the Recovery & Ward Nurse/Sisters.

Ah the good olde days. Not.

Ppffffft, easy stuff, but you should see my legs & lower limbs (hang on they are my legs duuhh.)

Me & My Rover/MTD Rideon took on some grass while wearing shorts not realising a Blackberry had decided to take up residence in said grass. Stem was about 1/2" Diam. By the time it unwound itself which seemed like forever it had cut & grazed me all the way up to John Thomas. Lucky JT was hiding up my shorts trouser leg or that would have been battle scarred as well. No not that JT.

I was giving Free Blood donations to the shrubbery.

As the day wore on I discovered more "Shrapnel" damage to arms etc so not a pretty picture now, not that I ever was as it happens.

Braced myself like a WW1 Digger & pushed on regardless of my wounds. Real VC/DCM/Purple Heart stuff or what Military Order personal Injury belongs to. Wuss? Moi?

One day, just one day, after buying something from the 'Jolly Green Giant', that comes with its own screws, I'll remember to buy some aftermarket, decent screws!
