We used to call them "gings". I bought one a few years ago at a 4wd field day, I thought it was illegal but take your pic of them on eBay.

I gave up gings, shanghaies, catapults or whatever else you want to call them in my early adolescence and grew out of the need for them, Kids stuff [bigwhistle]
