Last year I needed a rated shackle (or 2). Bunnings was literally half the price of SuperCrap.
I went into one of those chain type auto accessories/parts etc shops the other day. I needed a couple of new tyre valve caps...you know...just the plain old plastic jobbies. Found a packet of 4 and was stopped in my tracks. $14.95 for the pack of four. They stayed there!!

Go to a tyre shop. They'll give you a handfull.
Don.
I don't use them as I am forever airing up and down they are a PITA to replace all the time.

They're also the primary seal. The valve is the secondary seal.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Metal ones are the best, they have a rubber seal and don't leak if the valve is leaking slightly.
I generally find them on the ground around the air pump at garages, don't think i have ever bought one.

The primary is the Valve, The cap is there simply to keep the dirt, dust, mud out of the valve stem.
Try pumping your tyre up without a valve in it and just rely on the cap to hold the air in there and you will soon realise that the valve IS the main seal
Even my Missus knows that and she is definitely Not a motoring expert.

Like you even your missus is wrong, unless you're smarter than the engineers from the Tyre & Rim Association.
Most people, myself included, wrongly treat the valve as the primary seal. The cap is also important for keeping the valve contaminant and damage free. Only a fool would not use valve caps.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
IF the rim and tyre association belive that those silly little plasic caps will hold the air in a 4WD tyre at 40psi (envision a truck tyre at 100psi+) or more without the valve doing its job then they are sadly deluded.
YES i Agree that the caps do a great job of keeping the crap out of the valve stem BUT a tyre WILL stay inflated without them, Not so much without a valve fitted and relying on that ridicules bit of plastic to hold the air in there though.
The VALVE IS the mechanism that seals the valve stem, The cap is simply a dust cover to keep the crap out of the valve stem and is NOT the Major component keeping the pressure in the tyre.
As I air up and down on a regular basis ( at least twice a week) I am always aware of the tyre pressures on my 4wd's and I always ensure that the valve stem is clean Before I air up again.
When is the last time you or many others here actually physically checked the tyre pressures on your cars/4WD's.
The valve cap is a dust, dirt, mud "Cap" and nothing more.
