Really Dave? We are in a strange place. There is no need for it to be trouble if you don't let it. You and your mods have the authority to deal with it in our little world. I trust you to do so.
Perhaps I should have said "it could be trouble".

There was a lot of useful stuff in the thread and I suspect that it worked to dispel some of the misinformation around on the inter web. There was a sub-thread that looked a bit personal, but perhaps that stuff could be removed?
Let it R.I.P. If someone isn't aware of what's going on around them by now, it's too late for them.
can the mods at least keep the jokes and memes please.
People do understand that you are not required to read and comment on threads you do not like?
Move on. Walk away. Go fix your broken Land Rover.
Sticks and stones is what most learn when they are young.
It just needs several posts removed (and the responses such that it removes his quotes) and business as it was.
We are in lockdown here in NZ and I understand that it could be imminent in Aust too at least at state level.
That thread was like the fence between neighbors, something to be leaned on while yakking. It was... a means to communicate about the topic of the day/lifetime. A lifeline to sanity. A bar stool to converse from. A reason not to mow the lawn. A key source of procrastination where sources are drying up by the hour. A source of mirth. An outlet for concern. A source of coping mechanisms. A force of gravity to those floating. An alternative to doing the dishes. An alternative to pacing the hallway and calculating the area. An IT workaround for the current force majeure in terms of keeping this in a human dimension...
Besides all that, it was fun! Until someone had a dump in the deep end and forced us to vacate the pool. Clean it up and let us back in the water.... please?
I understand the need for social distancing and making unnecessary trips to town But I am wondering if it is still allowable/OK to launch a boat and go fishing??
How do I find out if I am still able to go fishing as many of our beach fishing spots are practically deserted most of the time and I don't have to go through any towns to get there.
You'll be very lucky if you can. Make the most of the opportunity if allowed.
Here in NZ, no! Our authorities have indicated, any activity likely to need assistance from others if you get into trouble, is out. Fishing, surfing, kayaking.... all water activity is not allowed. Our police have been 'educating' those they have encountered doing these. All press stories would indicate an underlying implication that this could turn to sterner action pretty quick if the message if continually ignored.
I thought about venturing to the local river in 2-minutes walking distance with the fly rod but even our Fish and Game council has indicated no, not allowed as it is a water based activity. *sigh* Ironically I can still watch them in the river, just not that closely...
I was ok with the thread but felt strongly about the behavior of one person , i felt the thread itself was informative and interesting and had some great info , ideas & interpretations .
