SO Where do we send these returnees when everything turns to Mud in WA FFS

Not 'ere. I prefer to be surrounded by them, not in my State.

Can they not land at Forrest (excellent Airfield there) & by the time they walk back to Perth it's well past the Incubation Time.

The Military should not be assisting with manning and monitoring border crossings, this is a police action that the military is not authorised to do within Australia unless using the old term 'Marshall Law" has been declared.

The Aid to Civil Power legislation allows the use of the military for humanitarian support, eg natural disasters, bushfires, cyclones, floods etc where they do not enforce laws as that is the role of police forces.

So at crossings if someone objects, if it is manned by military and they 'arrest' the offender then that is outside the powers of the military in normal peacetime without a declaration of Marshall Law.

By all means use the Military to support domestic authorities as has been done, but enforcement is outside the peacetime use of the Military.

The Aid to Civil Power is there for the reason - partly to prevent military intervention is domestic affairs.

I very much doubt the military are arresting anyone, on each checkpoint there will be civilian police to do so, if it becomes necessary.

Well what are they doing? I understood they are checking documentation and turning people back who do not meet requirements - so if they have someone belligerent they just let them go?
