However the child is in Brisbane QLD which IS a State

There are no known cases here.
The doctors in the hospital the baby was sent from, Lismore Base were horrified, the pediatrician there says it borders on medical negligence.

Since NSW is aiming for suppression and not elimination as per the Federal Cabinet agreement I expect the border to be closed for a few years.

Maybe the child should have been sent to Sydney instead of being sent to Brisbane.

Its surprising the mother was not allowed in, as the Qld border restrictions allow entry to a person obtaining 'specialist health care' (the baby) or a support person to a person obtaining specialist health care (surely the mother of a newborn?).
Very common for emergency cases to be flown to Brisbane.

As far as I am aware the Mother wasn't refused entry into QLD But she was required to quarantine for 14 days before she would be allowed to enter the hospital.
