OK - noting though that NZ Immigration’s website still refers to transit passengers .... and you’ve had a few escape from quarantine ....
The other issue is that it appears that all that’s required to enter NSW from NZ without doing quarantine is to make a declaration that you’ve been in NZ for two weeks, flash that at immigration in Sydney and you’re through. No recent test result required and no checking that you have been there for two weeks - on the other hand I can’t go to my dentist here without a current Covid test (I was negative).

Frydenberg would have more credibility if the member for Kooyong was actually in Victoria - the last time I saw him on TV he was at a Bondi cafe with Dave Sharma. Maskless, unlike his constituents.
It’s hard to not see the Liberal party pile-on to Dan Andrews as politically motivated rather than arising out of any genuine concern for Victorians.

I do feel for my VIC brothers and sisters and they have done a fantastic job so far getting this mongrel virus under control and I hope that it is rather sooner than later that there are zero new cases each day and life there can return to the some sort of normality like the rest of us.With only around 200 active cases in Victoria you would think it is time for everyone to realise we can manage this without being under house arrest. Let’s give people some freedom and let’s give businesses a chance to survive.
At the moment though I feel that it would be unwise to lift the current restrictions too fast and risk going back to the 500-700 cases a day that was the reason that these restrictions were brought in.
If is concerning that NSW with their ongoing new infections that they allowed those NZ travellers into VIC from Sydney airport because of Morrisons NZ-NSW politically motivated "travel bubble" stunt.

NSW has their border closed to Victorians - Victoria does not have their borders closed. Nothing really to do with NSW! Same as NSW does not have their borders to Qld and SA closed (or to ACT for that matter).
All these border closures, as far as I am aware, are one way efforts (except of course where crossings are shut to save being manned) except possibly WA. Although the in a sense they are - because if you cross you can't come back.

Another 2 Ships arrive in WA with active Covid 19 cases on board , one in Geraldton & one in Freo , that makes 4 now in as many weeks , Not good .
As long as its contained I think it is good cargo and ships can move. We have to keep moving. That said a ship full of it would be a tough place to be plus!
"The World Health Organization has defended a study that sparked a debate about whether the antiviral drug remdesivir is any use in treating Covid-19.
The report was based on a large-scale clinical trial of four drugs that concluded none of them helped reduce mortality or the amount of time patients spent in hospital.
Gilead, the firm that makes remdesivir, has hit back at the study, questioning its methodology. “We are concerned the data from this open-label global trial has not undergone the rigorous review required to allow for constructive scientific discussion, particularly given the limitations of the trial design,” the company said in a statement.
"
"Oxford University Professor Richard Peto, who was the chief statistician in the trial, told a media briefing on Friday: “It [the number of subjects] is more than three times as big as all the other evidence in the world put together.”
The WHO’s chief scientist Soumya Swaminathan said that although the study only looked at the effect on hospitalised patients did not mean that the drugs had been administered too late, saying: “You cannot conduct trials if the patients are not hospitalised.”

Oddly tricky to work out the truth at times. Half tossed up putting this in conspiracy theory's. A Virus Version I think I lean to "Sir Richard Peto FRS is an English statistician and epidemiologist who is Professor of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology at the University of Oxford, England." version.
[QUOTE=NavyDiver;3037929]As long as its contained I think it is good cargo and ships can move. We have to keep moving. That said a ship full of it would be a tough place to be plus!
The problem is that we have to move the effected crew off the ships and into isolation/hospital ashore and in the first case change the whole crew out , would be ok if they just isolated themselves and sailed away but of course that cant be allowed to happen . These ships should be sailing with unaffected crew , mostly Philippine crew .
cant take the whole crew off due to salvage rights.
