    R.I.P. Kenny Rogers.

What an absolute legend this man was, so many memories, I think "The Gambler" would be my favorite.
I will not forget you, neither will Dolly.

Seem to remember seeing on TV some time ago that his band has remained with him for decades in an industry where it is normal for people to move on regularly. They were saying it was due to the way he treated than as people and part of the team which it seems is not the ‘normal’ way for the industry

Springsteen has the same reputation. Kenny was great though.
We play lots of stuff and very little Country, but the gambler is one of the songs that always has the crowd toe-tapping and singing along.

Not a country and western fan myself, but there are a few Kenny Rogers songs I do like.

The Gambler and Oh Ruby are a couple that come to mind.

Was certainly a legend. 81, far too young these days.

    RIP K.R.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
