take them back.. I wonder if they will rake back used ones?

Going to finish off the Ossa restoration. I'm nearly there just have to resolve a problem with the front wheel spacers and line the bottom of the battery box.
The motor has been rebuilt with a stronger Yamaha rod and pin, Crank was ground and machined to suit, new Wiseco 1st oversized piston, all new chrome and paint, new rear shocks, powdercoated frame and rebuilt Amal carby.

    Runs great and sounds nice.

I'm lucky, mine can be done on concrete inside a shed these days.

A game-changer for me was accidentally coming across a clip on thing, at an engineering supplier, for a grease gun that does any size nipples. Costs about $30 bucks.

The FEL on the Deutz has about 14 each side, without counting about another dozen on the tractor proper.

The clip on thing works really well when you get the hang of it and has turned a **** job into something reasonable.

    cheers, DL

Is that one of the easy release, grease gun attachments? I saw one recently and wondered if it would work as I have some, let's say difficult, grease nipple to access on a few machines. They weren't anywhere near as difficult 10 years ago, I tell you.

    That's the one.

It'll get to anywhere a standard push on one will.

I always clean around and on top of the nipple and still do. Does take a little getting used to but it really is worthwhile.

I used to push the ball in the nipple with a point after cleaning to make sure it wasn't stuck or defective before putting the gun on, but no need now.

I've got a concrete floor with a roof over it I can use (except that is where the 2a lives, and I don't want to park it in the rain - it is, shall we say, not completely waterproof). And besides, there is a concrete floor and a roof, but only one side - and its windy!
