I know a person whose specialist sends the script electronically to the nominated pharmacy. However if that pharmacy doesn't have stock then the specialist charges another exorbitant fee for another phone consultation to provide a replacement script to a different pharmacy. The medication is restricted so is subject to extra controls but is an example of a script that is issued to a particular pharmacy. The script for this medication is not transferable to another pharmacy nor is the patent allowed to have a printed version.
