I think ND is right, as I have bought prescription medication on line and had to post the original script in.

It only misfired on one part "The patient will dial in to speak to their doctor, and if a script is required — it'll be faxed, emailed or posted to them or their pharmacy."

Right but we have to post the signed paper script to the pharmacy still.

I know a person whose specialist sends the script electronically to the nominated pharmacy. However if that pharmacy doesn't have stock then the specialist charges another exorbitant fee for another phone consultation to provide a replacement script to a different pharmacy. The medication is restricted so is subject to extra controls but is an example of a script that is issued to a particular pharmacy. The script for this medication is not transferable to another pharmacy nor is the patent allowed to have a printed version.

Can one specify to which chemist the script would go? One might not want one's wife or usual chemist seeing that special script one has had to get.

The system promised within 8 weeks gives you a Token via email or text, You take the toke to your choice of pharmacy not anyone else to tell you what to do

PS do not have a My Health Record as your family can often see exactly what you do

Controlled substances Schedule 4 Drugs and Meds -I know hundreds of them as well- Doctor specific authorised by Gov- Drugs and Poisons. As mentioned several times sending electronically today by anyone to anyone still required the paper script posted to the chemist or they are breaking the stupid law I want changed today Very happy to mention the only Schedule 4 Drugs I have ever had was Fentanyl for several days until the Doctors stuck my very smashed pelvis back together. A millilitre is apparently 100 times stronger than Heroin. I was a clearly a Druggy extraordinaire on 40mg every five minutes if I pushed a little magic green button. As soon as the operation occurred I never pushed that button again and they did 4 other operations after that

Obviously more than 1 stupid law that doesn't allow a script to be passed to a different pharmacy.
