Drained burnt Trans oil lastnight and put new in, then Trans will get full service at Adelaide hills next week when it gets engine service and some old parts replaced [emoji108][emoji1696][emoji1696][emoji1696] test drove today and trans seems absolutely fine, cannot find anything leaking so no idea where it came from [emoji2368] or why it got hot!
Gave it all a clean haha. High pressure hose is fun in a wheelchair [emoji1787] like a jet pack [emoji108] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7f3bb15b3f.jpg
As far as I know, the only servicing to do on the transmission, in your car, is fluid and filter. No bands to adjust anymore. What fluid did you use?
Did the car sit for a while when it leaked? If so, the torque converter can drain back and overfill the trans - and you can get a leak from the dipstick o ring - happens on my Jag if I leave it undriven for a while at a certain angle in the driveway. You can run it all you like and not see the this type of leak.
I guess that the Jag has a Borg Warner 35 auto the same as in my old Rover P6B 3500. It used to do that and the culprit was the lip seal on the selector shaft input. If used regularly the oil would not accumulate high enough, but made an ungodly mess if left standing for a couple of weeks.
I have not worked on them, but I suspect that the D2 auto does not have such an input selector shaft. :twobeers:

Hosing like that would see you going backwards to Bordertown, assuming the Blue Hose is a few hundred KM long.[bigrolf]
