First drive with hand controls yesterday! I was really anxious about it, even though have been halfway there for a long time with steering with one hand via a spinner knob! And then scooter is hand controls too.
There's one type of hand control I can use with my barely functioning hand. Turns out hand controls are absolutely fabulous The COVID-19 & Corona free thread. The COVID-19 & Corona free thread. I got comfortable really quickly. The school car is not comfy like the disco in thr driving position! First time in years was able to drive without adding to fatigue or pain. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Given only speeds up to 60km, but super excited for when fitted to the disco The COVID-19 & Corona free thread. Will be more lessons with hand controls in the near future too, I think once funds are approved for disco mods. Hopefully ndis approve as driving future is bleak if they don't. Plus its absolutely awesome that the Extreme X8 powerchair fits in the back!

Thats great Eps. Sounds like a bit of coaching from Hugh Jars wouldn't go astray. He'd
be used to doing & looking at stuff & twiddling knobs all at the same time.

But while I applaud your efforts, think of me trying to fit a new Soft Close dunny seat for the 2nd time in 24 hours. Why ? You may ask. Good point. The seat when unpacked has Left & Right stickers on the back edge. So? The paper instructions show the opposite. WTF!

I fitted yesterday's effort & promptly busted the seat mounting because the self closing "Feature" was as tight as buggery & promptly snapped the hinge. Being reversed it was locking in the wrong direction because I followed the Paper version. Deeeeeeerrrrrrr!

Rang Bunnings this a.m. & sorted it out as it would be back to front & diagram shows it as though some idiot would fit a seat from the rear, but there is a tank & a wall there. Yeah right!

Got it sorted now, & now advised to fit the seat as per the L & R stickers on the back of the seat, but what a carry on for a lousy brand new seat.

Glad you are not having pain while driving or any other time either. It does tend to concentrate one's mind.

Apologies for derailing your thread a bit but a Problem shared is a problem halved.

UPDATE. Followed the L&R stickers & job done. Bloody Instruction sheet was cactus. Manufacturer: Estilo.

Oh dear, such stressful, third world problems. A self closing throne seat? Because manual closure is just so energy sapping?

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

It is about all you can buy these days for health reasons as it happens.

Not unless you are one of those crazies that have to watch the bog disappear around the U bend. One still has to give it a push with the pointer digit to start it on it's merry way. The seat that is, not the bog. Well, you may even be a bit of a wannabee aficionado on bogs & this is part of your Bog tutorial?

No images, as yesterdays fiasco has gone into the Yellow Bin. Now, if you'd have sung out earlier I could have got a nice image of the internals of the yellow bin. On second thoughts, naaaaaaah. Not before you have had your Dinner.

Sounds like a most confusing set of instructions The COVID-19 & Corona free thread. seems quite fancy though The COVID-19 & Corona free thread. i feel for you blokes always having to leave the toilet seat down! The toilet at the legendary mechanics who did the work on my car was unexpectedly wheelchair accessible! Obviously being all men there, was only right to leave it as found it for them and put the seat back up for the fellas.

Of course, it would be rude not to. How very thoughtful.

In my travels I have seen some really really grotty Dunnies made worse when 'er indoors who sometimes accompanies me to places also needs to "spend a penny".

She could really set up a "Dunny Cleansing Service" business or so she says, for some of the disgusting places she has needed to use. Top of the cleaning plant would be a high pressure steam cleaner & possibly a couple of sticks of Dynamite. Yeah, 2 should do the job.
And who in the hell cleans them? When I was an Apprentice one of the first daily jobs we had to do was thoroughly clean the pan & hand basin as visitors (male & Female) may wish to use the facilities during the day.

Who in their right mind would have heavily stained & sometimes soaked, Kitchen Carpet in front of the Pan??? Some do, & I have been thinking about knocking up a Jet Hover Belt so one didn't need to "land" as it were..

I sometimes carry a fruit Juice bottle in the car for me in case(you know, the ones with a large diameter neck) & that has saved some predicaments.

    Ah, happy days.
