Let's hope she's a good one. We've been through quite a few & most 'talk the talk' but can't 'walk the walk'.
Oh, and there's good & bad plan managers too - the bad ones get slack in paying invoices & decide to take $ out of plans for no apparent reason. I'm still waiting for our last one to explain the $3000 taken out of my son's plan in it's final 2 weeks.

Must be a very frustrating situation. All I can say is, stay positive and keep politely plugging away.

NDIS funding came through for our granddaughter today, after nearly 4.5 months of waiting.

The good thing is it is around the $ they were hoping for, those professionals sure are costly.

We didn't get knocked back for anything, but I had a support person come with us to the LAC meeting.
Where the LAC had some standard questionnaire forms to fill out, my support person presented a very detailed report on a pdf with estimates of services and professional reports. So coming in really prepared helped.
I was told about the support facility by my community health which is under the Eastern Health umbrella. The support person was provided free of charge and funded by the government.
They organised the initial OT and Neuro physio reports professionals and paid the associated fees, then complied a detailed report and attended the meeting with the NDIS LAC funding meeting.
The support lady was also a local , she rang me constantly to keep me up to date and attended my home a couple of times. All this cost me nothing.
Sadly they are getting out of the NDIS and going to do aged care in the future.
I've been discharged from that service NDIS funding was approved and other support services takeover.

update. Today I had the OT come to my house.

On Monday we have a appointment to try some electric Lift chairs and air cushions for my lounge room . She is organising a hire manual wheel chair with power assist until we can organise my own electric custom wheel chair with pressure cushion, also a sturdy 4 wheeler walker for me to use in the house.
A Bidet in the Bathroom. A speech therapist and a personal carer to come to wash me, unfortunately they don't want me using the shower , so sponge baths until the bathroom renos can be done.

She is organising a rental /trial of a king size single electric hospital bed and air pumped pressure monitoring mattress.

Wed she has organised a Lift company to quote for a wheel chair life and feasibility for the front of house access, and is organising a builder also to attend for balcony mods quotes.
then she is organising to get a quote to have the bathroom mod which is guttering it and making it disabled friendly bathroom .
    So things are progressing now.

Mobility is EVERYTHING Mario,, Do your training like your life depends on it,,
    because it does.
as soon as you cant transfer from your chair, or get out of bed to your chair--
    you are out of there...

no matter how good your Carer is,, they cannot and must not lift you.

    so,, do your training. Ok?
