Lol!!.."Trip into Melbourne Port"??...Just travelling into Melbourne, even for those that live here, ain't too flash either, in fact I can't remember the last time we drove "into Melbourne" from Bayside where we live, every hour is peak hour now,...it's the train for us every time.

Added considerable travel time to anyone North, South or East of Melbourne.

Voyage Sailing times will put you on the Geelong Freeway in peak hour traffic which is certainly not pleasant & prone to accidents with no work around if the freeway is blocked.

Awesome news, that's about 5min up the road from me!
Prior to the current isolation, I took the Deafener and the dog on the ferry a couple of times a year, so it'll be a shorter trip in future.
Corio Quay isn't exactly pleasing to the eye though, so I wonder if it'll get a bit of tarting up?

Hi,
Even going to Sale via the backroad for a few days has got to be less stressful than transiting out of Port Melbourne on freeways. If, tragically, two police cars (presumably with flashing lights?) can be wiped out by a truck, the potential dangers of the freeway design keep me well clear of them if at all possible.
