Not my bike so I took no notice.... but when I walked past the office sure enough there was my bike sans front wheel leaning against the wall!
The dickhead in the office couldn't work out what name was on the frame so assumed it was Raleigh when it was actually an Italian Fiorellie. The thieving scum had nicked the front wheel by simply opening the Campagnolo quick release lever and taking it out...………….

Those quick release levers were a problem, as my Dad bought a
    light weight
Peugeot racing bike and gave it to me when I started riding to high school, I often pulled it out of the bike rack only to have the front wheel drop out, I think the other kids played with the lever but couldn't put it back properly, once I had the back wheel bind in the frame on the 1st corner of the school grounds, due to someone releasing the lever, luckily it was a dirt road! I had to paint it, give it to my brother when I used his bike to go to the shops and that got stolen, so I too hope ND gets his bike back.

The photo worked. Name and address provided to the police and I. I had thanked the four people who gave me details. I sent a message to one who seemed to know "George" better . I asked if he saw George to mention he noticed via police Crime stoppers and other placed the Police and I were looking for him. He handed himself in this morning

I may be able to go along to the court date in July depending on Covid 19 George is a ice addict. He told the police he had offloaded my bike but will try and see if he can recover it. Apparently he looked a bit ashen when shown the cost of the bike, the lock and the other bits he took.

While waiting to make a brief statement to the police (Yep I noted they didn't bother until today ) My sister informed me a cow had run into her. Honest. Roast beef and steak will be the revenge or Karma for her perhaps.
