One of our engineers got dispatched to Moree for a couple of days so he took my Falcon for the run and while he's gone I've had the bosses F250 4x4 dual cab to drive

This thing is just big in every sense of the word, physically it's high, wide and LOOOOONG
the space in the cab is incredible and the tray space would put most small trucks to shame, yet dispite it's size it is reasonably easy to drive, even in city traffic

You do need two normal parking spots for it and there would be no way I'd even attempt a reverse park but otherwise it feels ok around town.

Out on the open road is where it comes in too it's own, the 7.3 lt powerstroke turbo V8 diesel is just a beast this thing has more balls than than a bowling alley, it is absolutely increadible up hills, you can pull out on an uphill overtaking lane from behind a slow truck doing 60 and give it some and this thing just rips up the hill so much you got to back off at 120

I must add that it also has a extra 100-150 hp performance chip fitted, this also increased the torque by about 100%, it would leave most cars for dead of the mark at the lights.

Cruising on the freeway at 110 sees about 1800rpm on the tacho, although redline is not much over 3000rpm, so given the size and performance the economy should be half average

The ride is suprisingly pitchy given the length of the wheel base, not rough but not as good as the disco, but then it does have huge leaves on all 4 corners and the back leaves look like they could carry a couple of ton in the tray without complaining too much, I do believe it is under damped in the front especially with the huge alloy Bull Bar that is fitted, it does however run twin shocks on both rear springs

So apart from being very American, loud, huge and totally over the top for driving around town and a turd in tight bush tracks, it would be a brilliant long range desert and outback tourer and if I had a spare $70K or so I'd have one in a flash
