Couldn't agree more.
I've enjoyed the previous raffles but somehow managed to miss the latest one.
I read through the entire thread yesterday. All I can say is - top work everyone!
Perhaps it's time to acknowledge Ian for what he has done for EpicDragon. I would also suggest that Heather and Mario should be recognised, but this is not the first time Ian has organised help for members. Some may remember Let's get Kenley to Canada. Sure, I was involved with that one, but it was Ian that drove it. Ian then organised a little help for me when I needed it most. And now this. I consider this cause to be the greatest of them all so far, and once again the stalwarts of this place, Incisor, V8Ian, Roverlord, have stepped up and made someone, who knows, it nay be you next time, someone's life better.
It is the small things that make this place better than just social media. Think on that the next time you get help from another member, whether it is helpful or not.
Ian is the epitome of what I am trying to say, even if he drives the wrong truck.
Incisor is a mad Queenslander, but Kenley, I, and epicdragon could not have benefitted if not for his generosity. Running forums is heavily fraught. Thank you, Inc.
I have no doubt that other mods were involved, and I thank them all. It's easy to take this site for granted. I sure have over the years. But this place ain't a billionaires playground, where you can say what you like ( so long as your political alignment is correct of course ), it is a place where simple minded ( we must be, surely, we own Land Rovers ) people can get together.
I dunno. I have wanted to post something like this since this forum helped me. Now we've helped EpicDragon. I hate Social Media. Always have. But, then I remember that this place is true social media, and I cherish it.
Remember it people. It might be you one day. I' going to hit Post before I make an even bigger fool of myself.

Wonderful post Tins, .....yes the good men continue to stand up, whoops , the good people.
Well done
Let's not get carried away here fellows. It's just a bit of time and basic bookkeeping.
A basic tenent of community is helping one another, 99% of the population gladly does so.
Most do so without fuss and bother. My small effort was unachievable without publicity and much help from others who who don't receive the same the same accolades that being offered to me.
Compare it to motor sport, almost everyone can name an F1 or Aussie Tin Top driver, but who ever gives a thought to the flag and fire marshals, the medics, time keepers, Clerk of Course, pit crew or most importantly the spectators.
Be proud of what we have achieved, but let's not make too much fuss just because my name was front and centre.
Thank-you.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
I don't think you guys realise how special you really are Not all heroes wear capes, the real heroes trundle around in landrovers and trucks Thankyou so much Ian and the others who have not only made a difference in my life, but for the others you have also helped I cannot express just how grateful I am and just how much you have helped me
Despite the fact Ian drives a truck, has a beard & is 23 & 1/2 foot tall he is a very nice bloke.
House trained & everything.
On my 2 trips to Brisbane over the past few years he has been helpful in the extreme!
More power to him.

Let's keep this in perspective Paul!
How many kids have you saved, offering support, guidance, love, hope, education and the opportunity to be good, contributing members of the community?
How many kids are you currently providing for?
That's long term commitment. To me, people like you are heros.
Hats off to all the foster parents.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Yep, well done all.
We currently have 7. Over the years I think about 9 others short term.
I blame SWMBO: Collects kids, cats, dogs & various other strays, like me.
Grandchild #3 is on the way, thankfully our Daughter live in Adelaide so that part of the family/menagerie is a once a year thing.
Living in Adelaide it's a wonder they haven't all been murdered.
Anyway, we do it because we, usually, enjoy it & daughter, Grandkids & Foster Kids are all family now & all the kids are turning out OK.
