I wouldn't call the ride quality in a Series Landrover "Luxurious" at all, RR's and Disco's most definitely though [biggrin]

My old man had a 2010 Mitsubishi Challenger
Independent front end, coil solid axle rear end
Drove like a car on and off the road, soft suspension that took the bumps well
But.....
The seats were so uncomfortable
After an hour of driving, my arse cheeks felt like I’d been riding bareback on a boney old horse
The 110 I drove from Broome to Perth only stopping for essentials, never felt better ( maybe just a bit tired )

Other than the noise, I always found the 130 great on a trip.
The ex's coiler Patrol ute was tiring, thanks to the seats and driving position.
Interestingly the new Mitsubishi Trytoo work ute has quite good seats. I've racked up 21,000km in seven months and spend up to two hours at a time behind the wheel and it's ok and a vast improvement in comfort and noise on the 2014 Lolux it replaced.
It copes with our crap secondary roads quite well. It has a lot of wheel travel for a basic car front and rear and is a little under-damped, but that helps with the ride comfort on big bumps.
