    Hey windsock.

Watched one of the W/E cop shows on tv tonight, this one was out of NZ.

Got me thunking. Are NZ cops really as courteous & pleasant & have a decent sense of humour (even to scrotes) as they are portrayed on the box?

Those shown never seem to lose their cool even though thoroughly provoked by idjits. Me, I would have pulled me shooter & done the miscreant in.

The voice over cop is a scream & sums up the situations quite nicely.

If a true picture of NZ cops, maybe the US should take a few simple lessons & NZ should open a Charm School for Cops from there.

This is not to imply that you have personally had great Police experiences, if you get me drift.

    Just sayin'

And each time I go to NZ, I'm always impressed with their courtesy particularly in sales and tourism - could teach we aussies a bit if we were prepared to listen!

    Interesting topic...

Mixed experiences. They have been there when needed, and they have been there when not wanted... if you get my drift...

I have known a few over the years and off-duty persona is usually a pretty fair tell for on-duty demeanor.

The sense of humor displayed was always usually dependent on the situation. **** if you cannot laugh at things it is just all together too serious...

Their job is getting more and more difficult in NZ and I have no doubt one day we will look back in fondness at the way it used to be...

Fortunately, you're not a copper Des. You're powers of observation are sadly lacking.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
