I'm sure a lot of this stuff is driven by the bottom line, not because they believe.

A friend told me this morning that the company for which her son-in-law works had an LBQTi office function where all staff had to wear the rainbow colours to show their support. To not wear them was seen as homophobic or non-inclusive. He took a sickie. As he was in private industry, he didn't have an alternative. Turning up without the required colours could have affected his employment (not that that would have been seen as discriminatory!)

Me? As I always worked for government businesses, I'd have told my employers to stick it.
