Over 60+years I have seen some very strange things in the bush , shadows by day, lights by night , strange sounds, thumps and bumps , but nearly every thing sensed had a valid answer.
Just like a rising moon or setting sun look huge , the blue flash and St Elmo's fire all have scientific reasonings.
The sunglasses many people wear alter the eyes perception of size and colour.
And it's funny that no one can take a clear photo of any of these strange apperitions. All my photos are clear.
Dogs, cats and don't forget wild pigs. Last year out near Winton and Longreach we had wild pigs fussing around our campsites.
We had them visit our campsite on Moreton island,late one night,they stole two saucepans that hadn't been cleaned.They also knocked over the table,which woke us all up,and gave us a fright,made one hell of a noise[biggrin]Quote:

Carnarvon Gorge NP is also full of them.In NSW they have shooters in NP's to rid them of vermin,something they need to do in Qld.
A mate has a family property near Coen, on the Cape,which borders a huge NP.The park is crawling with pigs and wild horses.The damage they cause to his fencing and around the creeks and dams is huge.
Hope a person or two is worried their days are numbered?

Blue Patrols aren't exactly common either. Suspects should have used a white one.
I go camping occasionally with a group of guys, one who owns, guess what- a mid 90's blue Nissan Patrol- boy am I ever going to rag him next trip. He prefers his swag, doesn't have a camper trailer, has a prosthetic leg, and all round nice guy, I feel for him- but will still give him a hard time....
