    From an article about these missing campers that I remember reading last year, I think the Buttonman is an elusive type character who lives out in the High Country.

    The patrol guy is apparently a Jetstar pilot!

    Yes, it was just that he was camped in the bush when the police arrested him.

    The cops clearly knew who was the suspect and were watching him for some time, I wonder if the media coverage was to provoke the suspect into revealing where the bodies were hidden or similar. Two helos full of tactical types to catch him in the bush seems a bit enthusiastic when they knew where he was all along....

    Or trying to jog someones memory,and gather more evidence in the process,to help with the case.

    I cant believe he would spray paint the vehicle a different colour,someone that is smart would have got rid of it,burnt it,stripped or whatever.
